WOW!
I haven't updated this blog in MONTHS!
Wonder why? Well the boys are here!!!! Here I was at 36 weeks getting my NST and 2 days later they made their entrance into the world!!!
Saturday morning- January 26th I woke up, had some toast and eggs and noticed something strange... I wasn't sure if it was a hormone fluid or what. I figured I'd call the doctor and ask what they thought. Based on what I saw on the net it was for sure labor about to happen. I was due to go to the doc about 10am, but at this point it was 8- they said for me to come in right away.
In I went for more NST, Ultrasounds, and a full exam! All calm- the doctor then brought me into his office and said 'Okay today is the day.' Take your time, drive over to the hospital and get prepped for your C section. Stop Eating, Stop Drinking. We will meet you there in about an hour.
I got to the hospital and the nurses told me I was 5 cm dilated and now I could feel contractions. I was given pain meds as I had to wait on 2 emergency C sections- then it was my turn to go.
I'd say the worst part was getting the Spinal in my back. I mean how does one this big bend forward so they can get my numb with that needle?!?! haha!!!
Brett Ryan was born at 2:02PM and Brock Caden at 2:03- Brett 5lbs 15oz & Brock 6lbs 6 oz both 18.5 in!
Healing was quite a journey!!! The boys stayed in the NICU for a bit to learn how to eat and gain some weight.
Today they are home with me and 4 months old already! Can you believe how fast that went?!??!
I'll try to update more :)
In the meantime I'm working on my FITNESS! haha Must get my pre-baby body BACK!

The END is NEAR!
Hey Everyone!!!
Today is 35W3D so we are on the road to 36weeks which is HUGE for a twin pregnancy!
They are both 5.5 lbs and doing great! I found that Brett- baby B who is Breech is basically sitting in between my legs!!! My stomach is hanging so low... all I can say is YUCK to the clean up on that stretchy skin!
They have been doing great in their biophysical's moving really well and scoring 8/8.
A biophysical is testing the fluid they are in- making sure there is plenty (no wonder they're so heavy!!!) and the umbilical cord as well as checking heart rate. It tests that they're moving well while baking.
Unfortunately my blood pressure has raised as of this past week, and it was expected to happen so what that means is the END IS NEAR!
I ended up getting mild toxemia and pre-eclampsia which is totally normal for twin pregnancies at the end. It's being monitored - in other words I now go to the doc EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!
In fact I was at the hospital this morning because their office is closed on Sundays! It was a long morning but they got the doctor to schedule my C section and get all my pre-op work set up!
I learned everything there is to about the C section so I'm very ready to meet the boys now :)

The original scheduled date was Feb 7 but now is January 31st! I will be 37 weeks! As long as my BP stays stable then the twins will stay baking until then! This is to avoid them going into the NICU.
Of course you never know until the twins are born but the longer they bake in me the better chances I have of taking them home with me :)
The Nursery is just about done. I'm finishing up a couple last minute things and can always add more later! My hospital bag is packed, the twins bag is packed, the cameras are ready and I think the whole world is excited to meet them !
Here's to a healthy and safe delivery and sanity as we bring them home :)

34 week update
Here we are 34 weeks are still going STRONG!
Do I dare show you what I look like?! I'm not a fan of how I've turned out as a pregnant lady. Although I am carrying multiples... I miss my body, energy, and fast paced self.
Good news is as a fitness coach- I'll have it back :) Check my site out---> www.lyndsiweise.com
I took this at my docs office today. Holy Mother I am HUGE!
The boys are just under 6lbs right now and growing strong. They must be enjoying their time because all my contractions and everything concerning has stopped. So now it's just getting to 37-38 weeks.
At this point though- I am safe to have them if they decide to come early.
Check out what they are up to!
Brock has a mind of his own- here he's looking at us...
It's much clearer on the actual screen at the ultrasound but you can kinda see here.
Here they are still having Italian conversations- if I had to guess they are plotting their escape !

So that's about all that's happening right now.
The nursery is pretty much set! I'm working on pictures to show.
Here is one of the back wall- the changing table and my feeding chair, the bouncer seats they'll be fed in since I can hold both. We are looking forward to their arrival :)

30 weeks! THE SAFE ZONE!
Hey Everyone!
It's been a while since I've posted a blog! I've been on 'couch potato' rest. Which basically means I can go to the docs office, the hospital or stay home and rest! It's quite a challenge since it's the holidays and my birthday is tomorrow.
I wouldn't say it's depressing- but I did look forward to Christmas Shopping, decorating, baking and enjoying the weekends with family and friends.
So that being said- this girl is ready for January! Never in my life have I ever said that!!! The good news is I have hit 30 weeks!!!! YAH!!!!!!!! Safe zone!!!!
I was back in the hospital last week for contractions yet again. They were killer too. I could actually feel them this time. 2-3 min apart. So I stayed overnight. No signs of labor though. We think it was linked to a low amount of water and the twins being super active.
They are extremely active!! Very difficult to get their heart rates monitored for a good 20-30 minutes. They literally run from the doppler!! Might be anything like their dad? Eeek! He would run from the needle for his shots! So- this should be quite an experience when they get here!
Today was an ultrasound appointment- they are doing great! Both are sitting breech- so I am currently in position to have a C Section. The odds of them being able to flip at this time are very low- but lord only knows! If all goes well the doc would like to do a C section Feb 7. That is still far away!!
My gut says mid-end January though! We shall see :)
Baby A
31 weeks 1 day
3 lbs 12 oz
Baby B
31 weeks 5 day
4lbs 3 oz
As you can see they are getting BIG!!!! They have lots of fun parties in my belly. Getting around the house is quite the task now. I do look forward to the next chapter- bringing them here safely and healthy and getting my body back!!!
In the meantime though Melissa my cousin has been organizing the nursery for me as I sit and just watch from the recliner. It's almost ready for them too which is exciting.
Here is a couple pictures from Hal's work hanging up their names. Next post I'll show how the nursery has come along!
I'm very blessed to be able to work from home especially in this situation now! On that note- Back to work I go!
XOXO

Random Pregnant Thoughts
Random thought... I'm at 6.5 month.... so bare with the thought. Sure it's uncomfortable and has it's moments but having twins- on the pregnant side isn't so bad!
There are things I'd prefer not to deal with but overall it's gone fairly quick and hasn't been bad.
Negatives:
- LOTS of fluid and swelling in your feet as well as legs.
- Bigger Stomach Sooner- harder to sleep, get up from sitting down, and move into different positions.
- Hemorrhoids ... they're kind of a come & go thing and not too bad- just super annoying
- Morning Sickness- but that comes with single pregnancy too!
- Extra Rest- Not being able to workout or even take a walk! That's frustrating as a fitness coach- but again it's possible with singleton pregnancies.
- Tons of doc visits- but the positive is that you DO get to see your babies ALLLLLL the time on the u/s which is always nice :)
Other than that- Multiple Pregnancy is not too bad. They do get on nerves and on my diaphragm making it hard to digest, breathe, sleep, walk... but honestly I thought it was going to be much worse.
I'm excited to bring them here very soon! Thankful for these holidays to make time FLY!!!

Pregnancy Thoughts
As I'm nearing the home stretch of this pregnancy. I am watching my legs and ankles puff up.
A twin pregnancy is so different from a regular pregnancy.
I had plans to continue to workout and keep healthy through this experience and my body rejects a lot of healthier options. So that has been really disappointing but here's the thing... I know how to fix ALL of this once these little guys are here safely and healthy!
You retain a TON of fluid as a twin pregnancy- I've asked about sodium and any other thoughts on why this is happening and the doc said- nope this is normal for multiples. You have 2 babies growing in there!!!
So coming from a past of losing a lot of weight and fighting really hard to get healthy- then fighting really hard to get pregnant... being here today is great!
It was number 1 priority to have a family after I got married. And life had it's own obstacles for me to overcome when it came to that. Poor Hal- thought it'd be easy! haha. Well and honestly so did I!
So I'm struggling to love this pregnant body of mine after all the work I've put into this body- but I know it's protecting the little boys and I know how to bring it back later :)
That being said to my readers who are struggling in this area- babies come first- do not stress about your situation as a pregnant lady. Exercise is great if you can do it. Which most can.
I am on rest, so it's very different! But otherwise walking and exercising is just fine!
Embrace this time because it wont last forever.
I'm even having maternity photos taken next weekend to look back on!
I am looking forward to the twins arrival and getting to know them :)
Just a little info I wanted to share as a fitness coach who fought her way to have a family and next up fight my way back to my healthy self :)

25 Week Update!
Today I went to see the twins and get their measurements. The doctor is happy with everything! Progress is going well. The twins are growing right on point. It's exciting as we get towards the end!
Baby A is now 1 lb and 14 oz 25 W 3 D and HR is 147
Baby B is now 1 lb and 14 oz 25 W 6 D and HR is 150
They love to give me pictures of the little guys :) It's fun!
They posed well today right?!
Lots of movement is going on now. They're kicking a lot more and I can feel it.
Hal finally got to feel a kick too! You can even see them kicking! Sleeping has become really uncomfortable. I'm not sure what my plan is to make that better. Right now it's just A LOT of pillows!
Perhaps I move to a recliner soon.
The doctor said he wont let me go past 37 wks which is January 31st so I can expect to meet the twins very soon! That is 12 weeks from now if I go that far!
The twins are actually kicking as I type this out!
The nursery furniture is starting to arrive- check it out
Of course Bailey thinks he belongs in the chair! This is the most comfortable chair! it swivel's, glides, & reclines. It'll be great to use :)
I wanted to put the twins cribs next to each other but the room isn't working out that way and when I do think about them getting older... I think double trouble... which putting them across from each other might just be the smart move :)
There is one dresser- we did order 2 so they will have dressers when they are older for each of them :) And you can see the two cribs across from each other. There is a lot more work to be done but this is a start!
Pretty excited for my baby shower coming up on the 18th and of course the holidays to follow.
More to come with these guys soon!

23 weeks and counting!
For most pregnant ladies 23 weeks is a great time, feeling good, not too far along, getting things done.
Then there is me :) I am not sure if I'm not too far along.. or if perhaps a little over 2 mos from now these guys are going to make their entrance! As you know twins come early and the doctor says about 15 more weeks or so... but other twin moms tell me more like 12 weeks left! Which is about 90 days.
HELLO TIME FLYING!!!! Not complaining though- I do look forward to meeting them!
They FINALLY have names!!! WOo hoo!!! Are we sharing?! Not sure yet! But we are excited about their names and their upcoming arrival of course!
With that being said my contractions have slowed down/stopped. It depends on the day, but most days they're stopped. I go to the doctor twice a week and get monitored as well as get an ultrasound to check on everything. I think this is a multiple special thing because most only get a couple ultrasounds.
I have a TON of pictures, but wont overload you with them all!
We have started on their nursery so we can be prepared if they decide to arrive earlier than planned, not that they'd be home to use it but Lord only knows. They look to be extremely healthy little guys :) No complaints here!
The doc told me yesterday 'oh wow those are some healthy big boys!' They're just under 2lbs right now and measuring at 24wks.
Here is Baby A- he's on my right side and generally hangs out- lots of kicking I feel these days. It's fun to watch them move on the ultrasound and feel the movement at the same time. Happens with the doppler too! You'll hear the movement and feel it at the same time!
We got some action shots- he was opening and closing his mouth, sort of waving hello by lifting his hand up and down, and of course kicking away!
Twin B- always loves to look at you- we did not get a shot this time of him looking over but he kept moving his head back and forth looking at us then looking back up. This guy is a riot! You can never find his heartbeat- he's always either on my chest making breathing and digestion difficult or he's buried deep down.
When we left them yesterday they were both in a bunk bed style laying transverse rather than head down or breech!
I'm not even gonna lie to you when I say I play 'find the babies' in these pictures... here they BOTH are. I'm still studying it trying to figure out exactly what is happening. I can say one is looking at us, the other is there too. Not sure what he's doing though!
Pretty cool to see how close they are right?!?!
They're buddies already! Check out how close they hang out with each other :) And they have space still so this is not necessary! But space time is limited as they grow :)
I could go on and on with all the pictures i have. But lets talk about the Nursery!
So we decided to go with a Zoo/Jungle theme while they're babies and sports can come later when they understand teams and chose their team of choice :)
So we painted the nursery a blue and brown.... here are some shots...
The blue is very bright because I'm all about the bright colors and I'm color blind! I think it'll do great for them :) The brown is a chocolate brown and we painted around the window so it wouldn't shrink down the room much at all!
Here is the decals I ordered that I'm going to start working on... I think they will compliment the colors great :)
Their cribs will be here next weekend along with dressers so everything is coming together and that is good because time is ticking!
Our goal is to be settled, relaxed, and ready before Christmas! Just in case anything happens early, or I get hit with bed rest.
Our move has gone really well too. Hal has done just about everything you can think of. TONS of work to get the house settled while I've been on what the docs call a 'couch potato' rest. I can do a couple things a day and then I have to go back to resting. Thank God I work from home right?!
I am super thankful for my job, it has provided us with a LOT and allowed me to be home without a worry!!!
The baby shower is coming up in a couple weeks and gifts have started to pile in. Their mattresses are here, their bouncer seats, and one of the most important pieces their car seats! I picked a red/gray/black- whatcha guys think?!!?
Bailey loves them as you can see :) He's excited for what is happening! He loves to lay on my stomach and listen to them. He is my little body guard! Always sitting right by me, very protective yet still super friendly to people! He's going to be an awesome big furry brother!
Lots of boys in my house! I'm the only girl! Should be a lot of fun!
That's about all for now! I'll update more as time continues to fly! It's just about November already! CRAZY! Looking forward to the holidays this year!!

22 Weeks!
This is Baby A, he is the chill baby per my nurses. You can always find his heartbeat and he seems to always be in the same area. He's over 1lb now! I got for more measurements next week! I'll be curious to see how big he's gotten since then.
This is Baby B, he is staring directly at us! He's got one hand kinda up by his head, almost as if he is waving at you! He's basically turned looking at us, or kinda on his back looking towards us. Either way he's looking at us! Now this guy- he likes to move from top of my bump to bottom. Up and down, and his heartbeat is always the hardest to find.
Wonder if this reflects their little personalities already?!?!?
We've started to design out their nursery. I'm shopping decals and a couple cute phrases to hang up.
We're painting it this weekend so we can start to set up. The furniture should be here next week with a couple pieces on back order- not due till Feb!!! So hopefully they come a bit earlier.
So hard to pinpoint timing with twins. The docs want them to come at 37 wks, which is basically the SuperBowl week, or week leading up to SuperBowl. They're technically due Feb 22. I've also heard they come as early as 30-32 wks! That is December!!! So if I had to have it MY WAY- I'd hope for a late January due date. That's about 35-36 wks and I think is great timing.
It's coming up quickly, and will probably move quicker as the holidays approach.
My baby shower is coming up in November. I have no idea all of what is going on with it, other than it'll be sports themed since there are 2 boys on the way!
Here's the invite- cute isn't it?
I couldn't even tell you how big my stomach is now. I imagine I measure about 4 wks ahead in size. At least that's what I'm understanding. And as I type this, the twins are kicking me. It's like my stomach is a fish tank!
I've had some contractions, super light, but enough that I get monitored A LOT! This week I was in the doctors office twice and next week I go in twice! I'm on extra rest and medicine. The doctor wants to keep them cookin' for 16 more weeks! Whew! I will have to get a bump picture update soon! It's getting big.
Getting out of bed, or rolling over in bed to sleep on a side is quite the task now. I use a ton of pillows and am SO ready for a recliner!!!
I'm excited for their arrival! Hal and I have been discussing names and of course designing the nursery is a blast!
SIDENOTE: if you're a buy buy baby shopper take note you need one coupon PER item you buy in that store! Something I learned this week. You can use Bed Bath and Beyond coupons but they require 1 coupon per item. Good info to know up front esp when you're having twins!
That's all for now!
